We are looking for a generation of traders? What does that mean? The Church needs a generation of people who are willing to trade their pursuit of the American dream for a world that desperately needs Christ.

We all want to be leaders, but are we worth following? Phil 3: 17-19 (NLT)
When people follow you will they get to Christ, or will they get to arrogance? Will they get to Christ or will they get to self-centeredness?
I fear we will have a generation that ends up short of Him, because they stopped at us. Leadership is not about Xeroxing yourself, it is about allowing God’s anointing to rest on your people.
Paul says, “If you want to be like Jesus just follow me.” Remember Paul has a very dark past which even includes murder.
You have to be a HOT leader Honest Open and Transparent- This generation will grow closer to God when we share our real struggles instead of pretending that we are perfect. Authentic leadership is a key in leading our people to Christ.
My parents’ generation was a don’t ask don’t tell generation. My generation grew up on Oprah and Springer where people are crying and snorting on the couch. The only thing that shocks my generation is when leadership is not authentic. My generation is heart-broken when leaders fall and they have pretended to have strength they don’t really have.
What frightens me most is that secular culture has crept into the church so much that when people come into our church they can’t see Christ because all they can see is culture.
Let your life lead people to Christ! You ARE a leader, are you worth following?
